Undulations
More post processing of older pictures. Over the next week, revisits to the California Poppy Reserve outside Los Angeles. The day we went was windy and cold, and my fingers were so numb I could barely hold the camera. The sky was filled with clouds, the air was clear, and the hills were covered with blues and oranges of lupine and poppies.
This caught my eye yesterday – all the curves in the cloud, path, hills, shadows.
Two Color Studies: Incoming Storm
Another study in Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Umber. These are really good colors for portraying cold and wintry conditions. Brr! Where I live, we have had weather in the 80s for much of January and February, so a break from the heat is much needed. Today, though, it’s a whopping 52 F.
Poppy Fields Redux
I think this may be the last of all my images of the California Poppy Reserve from last March. Here, the view is up the hill, looking into a ring of clouds. Taken with the Olympus XA4, Kodak Ektar, and scanned by moi using the Pakon 135.
Reach for the Sky!
Nothing like watching old westerns to inspire a title . . . this was taken with wonderful Olympus XA4 and Agfa Vista 200 film, scanned with my little own hands on my Pakon 135.
