Beach Bird
This bird was just lying on the sand, its rear legs extended out behind it. I have no idea if the bird was just resting, injured, or dying. A really beautiful creature.

Bladderpod
A rather ugly name for a really pretty plant. Also known as California Cleome. Latin name is Peritoma arborea. I am going to watch the seed pods as they mature, and see if I can grow one in my garden.
