Home for Wayward Cormorants
Up and down the coast, cormorants may be found perching on various rocks, hanging out until they decide to go out for dinner.
Thistle Bloom & Seed
The day was cloudy because of the coastal fog, with subdued colors overall, and brilliant flashes of many of the flowers in bloom.
Before the Wedding
At a local historical site, while wandering around, a wedding was being set up in the courtyard, under the trees. Dappled light, crystal, gold plates, and bright weavings made for a cheery display, perfect for a summer wedding. Cheers to the bride and groom, whoever they were!
Seed Pods
These are the seed pods of the Orchid tree, a flowering shrub or tree with beautiful pink flowers. These pods have burst open – or are ready to do so. I gathered a few seeds to try to plant.
