Toward Phelps Lake

Reviewing old photos (only a year!), I have to say, the photos that make me happiest are landscapes. I love the outdoors. Here is a memory of a hike to Phelps Lake, reworked in Perfect Photo Suite 9. I used Dynamic Contrast, Tone Enhancer, and Vignetting, with a few adjustments in LR5 prior to exporting it for the final touches.

A small celebration of the the Day of the Dead, held in a local cemetery. Fun and poignant, people gather to remember loved ones, bring them presents, and build altars with the deceased’s favorite objects. Colorful marigolds brighten everything. Skulls and bones, face painting, dancing, costumes, ceremonies.
