No way I’m watching anything billed as ‘a heartbreaking story’!!
I put off watching it, too. A kestrel attacked – got one of the babies – and the other was knocked out of the nest. They put the baby back in the nest, and the kestrel was nearby. Another hummingbird kept attacking the baby – not the mother. Finally the baby just up and flew away! Mama hummer (Emerald) is feeding her remaining child. Sad, but also a fairly happy ending. I did get teary eyed, so I know what you mean, Fraggy! Mother Nature is harsh.
