I just got back my first roll of E6-processed Kodak Ektachrome 100. Oh, yum! This is a lovely film. I will let the images speak for themselves. Nikon N90S and Nikon 28-85 f2.8 Macro. Old stuff with a new film – go figure!
Thanks, Judy! It’s my “go to” vase for daffs – the yellow and blue just make me so happy.
The blues are brilliant!
Thanks! I love that glass vase!
They are lovely!
They are dying, now; more to photograph!
Beautiful shots. Maybe one of these days, I’ll get out my old Nikon 2000 and shoot some film. That is if the camera still works!
Before you do that, make sure you know where to get your film processed! Luckily, there is a place nearby so it isn’t a long trek or an expensive mail shipment. 😉
I have a photo buddy who shoots film. I’m sure he’ll share his sources. He goes on an outing with 12 shots available in his camera and doesn’t use it all. But digital is so forgiving and less expensive! Even if we treated our SD cards as film and limited an outing to just a certain number of shots, we would learn valuable lessons.
I really didn’t “get” photography until a friend loaned me his Nikon D70. He also got me into Nikon gear, as he uses it. Once I had the space of an SD card, it started to make sense. Since then, I have dropped a bit on lenses and such, as well as old film cameras, and cannot say I regret it. While art is my first love, I love photography as it gives me pictures, film and digital, to remind me of the world around me. I should get some printed up to replace the ones I had done several years ago.
Since I’m not creative, but can see opportunities, photography is my outlet. I enjoy the challenge it gives me and the people I’ve met.
I agree about photography. It challenges technically and compositionally. Once mastered, even a little, so much can be done. Like you, I have met wonderful people, too, and it takes me places!
Love the daffs in the blue vase!
