A great way to start the day.

Creek, ii
This is a view of the little creek that runs through our neighborhood park. Â It’s a pleasant place to wander. Â When I went there this weekend, a border collie was doing what they do best – running and plopping in the water, staying submerged, and then shaking it all out. Â A family was there, exploring and showing their toddlers the crayfish. Â (I think the dad was the funniest – a big little boy!) Â I was enjoying myself, being an audience to it all, while finding new growth, leaves, and viewing a magnificent sky filled with clouds.
I did post in LR and OnOne, using a VSCO preset for Fuji Astia in the final rinse (so to speak.)
Impression
Another film image from the 1930s Voigtlander Bessa Rangefinder, using Fuji Pro 400H film. Â There is an Impressionist painting which keeps flitting across my mind every time I look at this picture – hence the title. Â I think it is a picture by Renoir, of a lady in a white dress looking around a tree in dappled sunlight . . . .
A Place for Birdsong
I thought I had left my Werra in Paris when I flew there a few weeks ago for lunch, but I didn’t. Â Lucky me! Â I found it this afternoon, and that inspired a hunt through the archives for some images I took last year when it first arrived in my hot little hands, all fresh and shiny from Holland. Â I currently have it loaded with Fuji Natura 1600, for night work (maybe I will try it for the super moon on the 13th or 14th).
This is one lovely little camera, and a very, very odd one. Â It’s a rangefinder, with all controls on the lens, including cocking the shutter and advancing the film. Â The lens is a Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm, f2.8, and as you can see, it renders wonderfully sharp images. Â I’ve got a bunch of colored lens filters, for b&w work, so once the current film is used up, I’m going to try some Acros 100 or Delta 100.
