I’m getting too old to crawl around beneath things to get a photo these days!
From the archives – Dec. 28, 2010.
Another from the archives . . . 12/28/2010.
Photography is not so much a part of my life these days, but going through my archives reminds me of how much fun I have had with both digital and film.
Sometimes you just rummage through things. This morning I was rummaging from my LightRoom archives, going as far back as 1999! This is from 12/23/2011 using the Nikon D70, on loan from a friend, and a Tamron 28-75 lens, the first I ever bought. This was snapped in the early morning, after a bit of rain, a few days before Christmas. The edit is from this morning.
How time just flies!
As a kid with blue eyes and blonde hair, everything I wore seemed to be the color blue. So much blue! Too much blue! I really didn’t like it after awhile, but these days it is probably next to greens as a color I enjoy.
Looking through my photo archives this morning, I found a number of pictures I took in the local botanical garden one spring – a brilliantly blue sky with no clouds, but branches blooming and leafing out. This is when I love blue!
Meanwhile, blue denim sashiko continues!
We should get rain for several days because of an atmospheric river traveling through the vicinity, unless it decides to go someplace else. In our drought-ridden county, that is a blessing. Little spots like this are harder and harder to find, and are a real pleasure when you do.
Happy New Year 2023!
