Looking down the hill I just climbed up. Sometimes what you see daily surprises you by its beauty. Early morning is the most exciting time of day as everything is fresh and fine!

The rains have arrived in California, easing a four-year drought. Brown has turned to green and the miracle of life returns. I took this yesterday morning around 7 a.m., heading west with the sun behind me. This is a pano of two images, using the Nikon V1 and 32mm lens.
I rather liked the detail of this picture, but the detail is not the leaves of the amaryllis, but the bokeh and the crosshatching of the screen. My studio window faces east, and this is what I saw early in the morning as the sun appeared over the horizon.
I do need to wash my windows and screens!
I finally got around to finishing off a roll of Ektar 100 using the Agfa Isolette ii rangefinder camera. Square composition is a bit difficult!
