Sunday morning we had weather! Like clouds in a normally cloudless sky. Rain. Chilly weather at 72F. And it was heaven.

So, loaded with film and with digital, I walked along the creek, about 50 feet above it on the Moonrise trail. For me, this is a bit of a sketchy trail because it’s a bit treacherous here and there, so always best with a friend. I shot a lot of panos that morning, and took a roll of film, too, with my Canonet QL17. Here is one of the panos of that exquisite morning sky. Click on it a couple of times to see it larger.

Enjoy!

Ever since I can remember, a big pleasure in life is to look at clouds as they drift above.  Here, in California, where I live, clouds are rare, and thus to be savored even more.  They come with the rain – sometimes fluffy cumulus towering above the mountains – sometimes thin cirrus drifting at high altitudes.

Taken a bit before sundown. The clouds were beautiful that night. This is a 5-image HDR. I think I took this in the street above the Embarcadero. If I had waited until after 7 pm, I would have been able to get the Rock with the sun setting behind it. Instead, we went out for dinner . . .
