Old I am, not looking great,
Sour as a pickle is my fate.
Thus I draw, by the hour,
Pickled pickles with pickly power.
Koshers, dills, gherkins, too;
Polish and German, to name a few.
And so for Inktober’s theme today
Is sour and then some, all the way!
A short jaunt down the coast to meet up with my brother and his wife in from Wisconsin. We also met up with my nieces and spouses and had a wonderful time. This is the view from our hotel balcony at 6 in the morning. Not a bad thing to wake up to!
This one put some pressure on me for an original approach. Pressure, to me, is often self-imposed. So, a pressure gauge is all you get today.
Inktober comes but once a year, and it is a lot of fun, too. Ink is the focal point – drawing with it, shading with it. Not only is black ink used, but so is colored. It’s a great time to sit down and just draw with ink, or, what I always do, is to draw from a given prompt.
If you go to Instagram and type in #inktober2021, you can find all sorts of responses to the prompts. People are amazingly creative! Sometimes I feel a bit prosaic and dull, but that varies from drawing to drawing, of course.
