I keep finding new adventures in the art world. For the past 6 or 7 weeks I have been taking a beginning colored pencil class. What fun! Here you can see what I have done from earliest to most recent. I’ll say more at a later date because I am doing 2-fingered typing while my splinted finger heals.

I like the pear.
Why is your finger splinted?
Cut with a knife.
Wow, doing all this beautiful art with a splinted finger! Amazing.
Ouch, but pretty flowers.
Excellent! š
Thanks, Fabio!
Ouch indeed! But that is the point of life sometimes, right? Glad you like the flowers, Laura Kate.
Well, Anne, it’s my left pinkie that is splinted, and I am right-handed, so not really a problem. I appreciate the sympathy, though. š
That doesn’t change the fact that you’re a wonderful artist.
I’m liking your pencil pictures very much! You have a feel for this media.
Penciling is much less of a hassle the using wet colors š With only a few (well chosen) pencils you get to translate a whole lot of colors.
Sorry for your fingers ! It’s when such accident happens that one discovers the importance in everyday life of those precious appendices…
I saw that you emptied your public gallery on Flickr ? Or maybe it wasn’t ever public ?
Keep safe,
Jacques
Sorry to take a bit to get back to you, Jacques! First, my Flickr site is: https://www.flickr.com/photos/art-of-ink/ I don’t have my artwork there – just here and at journeybypaper on WordPress. Let me know if you cannot find my Flickr account – it is still there, pro. Also, I have been doing plain pencil drawings, and it is fun; I took a Pencil Portraits class, so thought colored pencils could be fun. Also starting some acrylic painting classes, a medium I haven’t used for 30 some years. Let me know if you need some more info for Flickr, etc. Good to have you visit!
I am glad you are enjoying the pencil pictures so much, Fraggy. I am always this way / that way because I love colors and painting. I just wish I was better at painting – harder to learn, I think.
