Today . . . photostacked a couple of dying roses and then extracted the background, probably somewhat crudely, as I am no expert at Photoshop and used an inexpensive program. This is the result.

Green Line

Originally I called this “Below Mugu Rock,” but keep thinking about the line of green vegetation in the middle of just rock, scree, and bare land. In a dry land, plants mean even more than you can imagine if you live in a land lush with leaves and plants and trees.
Garden Steps at Dusk

I wanted an old photographic quality here – Kodachrome in Alien Skin proved to be good. A few more mods afterward. I like the glow in the windows at the top – it was pretty hard to balance the steps and the lights when shooting in low light – this is iso 6400, f3.2, 1/125. Â The light is rather – really quite very – noisy – but the steps turned out ok. Â I suppose I could have done more to get rid of the noise but . . . .
