The Trip 35 is a zone focusing system, where the focus is determined by 4 different clicks, from about 3 feet away to infinity. Here I wanted to see how it did with a leaf at the closest level. The rest blurs out . . . not too bad.

Another View of the Pier
I brought two cameras for our trip to the Carpinteria Bluffs above the Pacific Ocean. One was the Nikon V3, and the other the Trip 35. This is from the Trip, and it did a pretty good job! There really is something about film that digital cannot replicate.
Nasty Urchins
Years ago a friend mentioned the “nasty urchins” in her garden . . . Testing out the Trip 35, I found some, and thought it would be a good subject matter for the camera.
Mount Clef
Taken along one of the trails in a local open space, Mount Clef in the distance. You can see how dry it is in SoCal after 5 years of drought. Rain is predicted next week, but I doubt it will show up. Wah.
Little Blue Dots
I’m not really sure what kind of plant this is – maybe a salvia – but it has the most lovely little, blue flowers on it. They sort of got lost in all the bluish-green foliage.
