Today I had rather grandiose plans to get out before the rain began. I opened the door to a drizzle that is now a heavy drizzle. I chickened out.

Color for a Gloomy Day

Today is dark and gloomy, presaging rain. I don’t have a lot of new stuff – in fact, nothing, really – so I wandered through the dusty digital archives, looking for something to cheer me up. Voila! The columbine!

I think I finally figured out how to do a “decent” instax . . . no flash, darken picture, and hold very, very still. Finally, something a bit sharper than I have been producing.

Orchid

This orchid has been slowly uncurling for the past few weeks. This morning I wandered into the corner of the house where it lives, and was delightfully surprised – it is really lovely and has a sweet, unobnoxious fragrance. Lucky me!
