High Country

Somewhere in Utah or Colorado or California or Wyoming, an autumn’s hike; a hillside with bright aspens (or birch?) and pine trees. Colors against color.

I thought this would be a good way to practice negative painting . . . 9×12 CP Kilimanjaro paper and watercolor.

Meanwhile, I haven’t ignored my oil painting . . . .

I’m adding meta tags to all my photos in LR. Given I have digital pictures going back to 1999, this is a bit of a task. This is an HDR in Photomatix, done with bracketed images from an old point-and-shoot camera. According to the EXIf, this was shot at iso 80, 4.1mm lens, f3.5.
