First Blossoms

The first cherry blossoms of spring have arrived at a local garden. With our past week’s heat wave (90+ F), the spring bloom in the hills is fading, and I was worried the cherry blossoms would have been blighted. Not so – at least for a few!

This is another shot taken with the 70-300mm lens on the V1. It does a nice job for discrete street photography, I think.
A Look Southward

One of Many

Succulents are plants you love or hate. I rather like them, especially when they begin to flower – then they can produce wild and wonderful extensions of themselves. To me, they seem almost indestructible. In a succulent garden, care must be given to the plants, just as in any garden, to ensure they look their best. I took this picture with the 70-300mm on the V1, and did post in LR, DxO Optics Pro 10, and a bit of spit.
