The Blue Stone

Macro photography provides an intimate look at the world around us. Â Personally, I don’t like bugs and such blown up to a million times bigger than they really are – to me, they are far too creepy, and the stuff of nightmares! Â Rather, I love to see the intricate beauty of leaves and flowers.
This is a redbud leaf, measuring probably no more than 2 inches long. Â Using a total of 23 exposures, shot at iso 100, f/5.6, 1/4 s, I combined them all together using Zerene. Â Camera is a Nikon D7000, lens is Tokina 100mm macro. Â Manual focus all the way through. Â Background is a piece of drawing paper, and lighting was what was available with the overheads.
